The Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul, mother house Heppenheim, is based on the Community of the Soeurs de la Charité, founded by Cardinal Armand Gaston de Rohan-Soubise, Bishop of Strasburg, in 1734. The Sisters around Maria Brigitta, the Superior General of the Congregation, are devoted to humans and serve them with charity. Also, as a service of humanity, they provide people in need of rest with a place to retreat.
